Working with leather as a hobbyist since the early 70s and receiving a Tandy leather magazine, "Make it with Leather", set me on a path of great interest and also making lifelong friends.
Teaching myself "Pictorial Leather Carving" for 10 years and then joining the ANZLA Association in1983, (established 1982) introduced me to a new world in Leathercraft.
Over the years I have delved into Pictorial Carving, Bags, Belts, Shoes, Clothing and Fashion Garments, Sculptures, Jewellery, Silk Weaving etc. while holding a position as a Craft Therapist in an Occupation Therapy Department. Later taking over the department with 9 staff for 20 years and still continuing my interest in Leather.
In 1990 winning a section of the International Federation of Leather Guilds at a Convention in Indiana USA, I was invited to attend the 1991 Convention in Dallas USA, which I did with 2 other members and 2 supporters, bringing home 3 International awards and many placings. This was a great climax and a wonderful experience for our little group.
With a Dip Pattern Draughting and Fashion Design I decided to move into Leather and Wool designer garments. My garments were accepted for
